To configure IP and MAC binding on the TD-W9960 router, follow these steps:
Open a web browser and type the default IP address of the router in the address bar. The default IP address for the TD-W9960 is usually 192.168.1.1.
Enter your login credentials to access the router settings. The default username and password are usually "admin" and "admin" respectively, but may vary depending on the router's firmware version.
Once you're logged in, navigate to the "DHCP" menu in the router settings.
Look for the "Address Reservation" option and click on it.
Click the "Add New" button and enter the MAC address of the device you want to configure IP and MAC binding for.
Once you've entered the MAC address, assign a static IP address to the device by entering it in the "Reserved IP Address" field.
Click on the "Advanced" button to expand the settings.
In the "MAC Binding" section, select the option "Enable" to enable IP and MAC binding for the device.
Enter the same MAC address you entered in step 5 in the "MAC Address" field.
Enter the same static IP address you assigned to the device in the "IP Address" field.
Click "Save" to save the settings.
Once you've completed these steps, the device with the specified MAC address will always be assigned the reserved IP address and its MAC address will be bound to that IP address. This means that even if someone tries to spoof the MAC address, the device will only be able to obtain the reserved IP address that has been bound to that MAC address.
