There could be several reasons why you can't enable Remote Control on the Kasa app. Here are a few troubleshooting steps you can try:
Check your internet connection: Make sure your smartphone or tablet is connected to the internet and that your Wi-Fi network is working properly. Remote Control requires an active internet connection to work.
Check the firmware version of your device: Remote Control may not be available on older firmware versions of your Kasa device. Make sure you have the latest firmware installed on your device.
Ensure that Remote Control is enabled in the device settings: Open the Kasa app and select your device. Go to "Settings" > "Remote Control" and make sure it is enabled.
Disable VPN or firewall settings: Remote Control may not work if your smartphone or tablet is connected to a virtual private network (VPN) or if you have firewall settings that block access to the Kasa cloud servers. Try disabling these settings and see if Remote Control works.
Log out and log back in to the Kasa app: Sometimes, simply logging out and logging back in to the Kasa app can help resolve issues with Remote Control.
If you've tried these troubleshooting steps and Remote Control still isn't working, you can contact TP-Link support for further assistance.
