How to configure Storage Sharing of USB on TD-W9970

To configure Storage Sharing of USB on TP-Link TD-W9970 modem router, follow these steps:

  1. Connect a USB storage device to the USB port on the TD-W9970 router.

  2. Open a web browser and enter the IP address of the router (default IP address is 192.168.1.1) in the address bar.

  3. Enter your username and password to log in to the router's web-based management interface. The default username and password are usually "admin".

  4. Click on "Advanced Setup" from the left-hand menu and then click on "USB Settings".

  5. Click on "Storage Sharing".

  6. Enable the "Enable Storage Sharing" checkbox.

  7. Enter a name for the shared folder in the "Folder Name" field.

  8. Choose the access type for the shared folder (read-only or read-write) from the "Access Type" drop-down menu.

  9. Enter a username and password for the shared folder in the "Username" and "Password" fields.

  10. Click on the "Save" button to apply the Storage Sharing settings.

  11. On your computer or mobile device, open a file manager or network folder browser.

  12. Browse the network folder and find the shared folder that you created in step 7.

  13. Access the files on the USB storage device connected to the router as needed.
